Elle Street turns the corner for another Victory

Apr 29, 2018

It was a Great result for Elle Street yesterday winning the Thank You Jerry Ryan 0 - 58 Handicap, ridden by Apprentice Chelsea MacFarlane she began well and crossed to lead shortly after the Jump, she was allowed to dictate the race for the first 800m until Curra Kid decided to stride forward after traveling 3 deep to make it a true test of Stamina, but to our girls credit she fought strong from the top of the straight to hold off all challengers to win by a head.

It was a tough win for Elle Street as she was held back from having a run due to the Kilmore races being Abandoned and the unfortunate decision to scratch her from the seymour meeting after notification the surface wasn't at it's best,With all this and her having a setback in the past 4 weeks put her behind the eight ball in fitness but after digging in late to win made it a good tonic for long time owner Rob Walker who was on course to see her salute only 4 weeks from having open Heart surgery.

She will now be freshened up to contest another 0-58 race before moving her up to 0-64 grade and whilst we can get the benefit of another 2kg claim from Chelsea MacFarlane we are sure she won't be too far away from another victory.
