DON'T BE SHY CAPS OFF A SUPERB JUMPING SEASON WITH ANOTHER VICTORY!!
Sep 26, 2017
Our big grey mare Don't Be Shy has signaled she's the rising star of Victoria's jumping ranks with another dominant win in the final jumps race of the season - the Adam Lindsay Gordon Hurdle (3300m) - at Coleraine perfectly ridden by Lee Horner.
Just as she did in her previous win at Casterton, Don't Be Shy did it all from the front and repelled the challenge of Kuridala after jumping the last to come away for another super impressive win.
The six-year-old has already won three of her five career jumps starts this season and will now take on the 2800m flat race at Kyneton on 17th October she is absolutely flying and loves being in work, nothing seems to faze the Big Grey Mare who has a bit of a cult following since she started Jumping, she pulls up so well after each run that she is bucking and squealing her way back home after a swim within days!
We wlll now set our heights to bigger things next season hoping to compete in some of the main feature races like the Grand National Hurdle Or Grand National Steeple at Ballarat depending on how she comes up next year after her break!.
Don't Be Shy has continued to improve with every run this preparation and has given her connections a wonderful ride with four wins over the winter, for a horse that was always going to struggle on the flat, her career has been resurrected over the jumps and her record now stands at 29 starts for seven wins and more than $140,000 in prize money.
