Team Sala produce Caulfield Winner Nat's The Boss
May 15, 2016
The stable's hot streak has continued with super consistent three-year-old
Nat's The Boss winning the Yellowglen Handicap (1200m) at Caulfield.
After an unlucky second over the same course and distance a fortnight
earlier, Nat's The Boss enjoyed a trouble free run this time, despite
drawing the extreme outside barrier. Beau Mertens was able to settle Nat's
The Boss midfield but with cover before giving the gelding clear galloping
room on the point of the home turn.
From there, Nat's The Boss unleashed his customary finishing burst and was to strong on the line for Sword Of Justice and Nudierudie.
Nat's the boss has never missed a place in his eight starts so far, and
looks certain to be a regular in the Saturday winners stall in the future.
His win also continued a great recent run for long-time stable supporters
the Hirsch Racing. Their promising four-year-old Hard Call won at Caulfield
on the same day Nat's The Boss ran second, and gun wet-tracker Royal Island resumed with a brave second in the Wangoom Handicap at Warrnambool.
And the excitement around the stable will keep building in the lead up to I
Love It's attempt to win the Group 3 Proud Miss Stakes (1200m) at
Morphettville on Saturday. Our mighty mare ran a gallant third in the Group
1 UBet Classic (1200m) at her most recent run and looks cheery ripe to add
to her tally of Group 3 wins.
