HONEST MARE SALUTES IN STYLE

Jun 17, 2015

Consistent mare To Be Honest has broken through for a well-deserved midweek win with a dominant performance in the Beyondblue Handicap (1400m) at Ballarat.

Courtesy of a superb ride from Patrick Moloney,To Be Honest found a lovely
spot from her awkward draw and made her move rounding the home turn. She took a while to reel in the free-wheeling Carashan Girl, but once she
knuckled down the six-year-old raced away for an easy two-and-a-half length
win.

To Be Honest has returned from a spell in fine form. She was a solid (and
somewhat unlucky fifth) first up at Caulfield and then backed that up with
a fourth at Moonee Valley - both in Saturday grade.

Having racked up a number of mid-week second placings last preparation, To be Honest was well overdue for city-grade success.

Her record now stands at 8 wins from 38 starts for more than $150,000 in
prizemoney - not bad for a horse which took 12 starts to break her maiden.

Connections can now look forward to more city success over the winter
months.
