ROO BOY HOPS TO WELL DESERVED WIN

Sep 22, 2014

After the disappointment of the Kangaroos Preliminary Final loss to Sydney,
it was great to see that at least one Roo Boy could get the job done over
the weekend.

The ever consistent Johnny Roo Boy romped to an easy win in the BM 64
Handicap (1170m) at Wangaratta, a well deserved win after going getting so close on his last two starts this preparation.

Johnny Roo Boy had run second at Sale and Warracknabeal in his two runs
back from a spell, and took full advantage at Wangaratta yesterday after beginning like a scalded cat from barrier 8 he crossed and lead and never looked in danger running away to win by a nice margin of two and a half lengths.

Apprentice Jordan Child's did the steering and also continued his successful
recent run with the stable.

Johnny Roo Boy has won twice and been placed four times in his eight start
career and now looks ready to graduate to better class in the coming weeks.
The Friday night Moonee Valley circuit looms as a good option for the Roo
Boy, who was a close-up third under lights at the Valley last preparation.

Congratulations Again to stable supporter Eddie Hirsch
who owns Johnny Roo Boy, as well as recent Geelong winner Red Spyder.
