Red Spyder won first up in the Mantra Hotel Group Showcase BM64 Hcp 1100M at Geelong.

After beginning well Jordan Child's gave him the gun run running 3rd just of the speed and after enjoying a great run turning for home he had the job ahead of him in reeling in the leader Vision in Motion who kicked clear,but when balanced up and and under ridding by Jordan Red Spyder responded well and was picking up the leader with every stride finally landing the final blow right on the line in a photo finish.

Great result for Connections as the horse went into the race with improvement to come from the run after not having a Jump out leading into the race.
