No Drama - Ghostly Grey wins again
Jan 05, 2014
Victoria's iron horse, Chasing Drama, took 29 starts to win his maiden but
the big Grey has again shown a liking for the winning post, notching his
second career win in the Frank King Memorial Handicap (1900m) at Kilmore.
Jockey Dean Holland settled Chasing Drama third in the run in the seven
horse field before racing away to win by a length-and-a-half. He put the
writing on the wall with a good second over the same track and distance two
starts ago.
Chasing Drama has now gone 23 runs without a spell, dating back to October 2012, He's virtually become the stable pet and is clearly thriving on his racing and enjoys the little work and swimming.
Among those 23 starts have been two over the jumps, but the five-year-old
has found his niche in races around 1900 - 2100 metres but will in time stretch out to 3000m again..
The win was extra special given Chasing Drama won the race named after Jean's Husband Frank King,Jeans been a fan of the stable for some time following our horses.
Also seeing the ownership in Brother Frank's name was a great result
and it won't be long before the big boy is set for win number three.
