Bitola showed her last run @ Caulfield at bolters odds 70/1 was no fluke running 4th in a class field having little luck,by winning the Sportsbet.Com.Au Protest Payout  Showcase 0-62 1605m @ Echuca today.

Bitola was confidently ridden by jock Dan Nikolic in front getting a lovely run to suit her,on turning for home and travelling well she was given a squeeze by Dan to improve and get the field chasing,once the filly straightened and balanced up Dan gave her a couple of cracks with the whip to run away and have an easy 2.5 length win.

Dan reported that she was impressive but wasn't100% comfortable on the drying surface and will appreciate the heavy tracks in the coming month.

She will be aimed @ Sandown in the coming weeks more than likely with a step up to an 1800m race.
